Copenhagen

We arrived on Friday night and made our way to the hotel via the metro. It was cold and snowy which was fun. After checking into the hotel and adding a couple of layers we walked down towards Nyhavn to eat balls of various descriptions at the very excellent The Union Kitchen.

Saturday…. Snow! Just outside the hotel.

Nyhavn

A bit gloomy still…

But the colours make up for it!

A bit of Dutch inspiration

Det Kongelige Teater (Royal Danish Theatre)

Looking south on Kongens Nytorv

Nikolaj Kunsthal

It’s quite big

Børsen

Christiansborg Palace

Helligåndskirken

Københavns Rådhus

North up Mikkel Bryggers Gade

Tivoli Gardens was closed(!!!) but here we are at Vesterbrogade and Bernstorffsgade looking at this round thing being built.

Copenhagen Central Station

Heading west on Vesterbrogade towards Mikkeller Bar for some tasty beer.

Sankt Jørgens Sø, starting at the planetarium

Some sort of modern art…

Pleasant enough

Why?

No regard for common sense, on Dronning Louises Bro

Nørrebrogade

Nearby all the antique stores on Ravnsborggade.

It was now getting dark, which meant an imminent death by cold, so back to the hotel to warm up before the short walk to burger dinner via a few shops. No photos because I value all my fingers.
